Official Statement from Hallon Intelligence S.L.

Hallon Intelligence S.L. wishes to inform its clients, partners, and the industry that, in accordance with Court Order No. 135/2025 issued by the Barcelona Provincial Court on July 10, 2025 (see link, available on CENDOJ), , the deposit with the court of the amounts owed for the use of CEDRO’s repertoire allows the company to continue lawfully providing its media monitoring and analysis services, as established in Article 163.4 of the Consolidated Text of the Intellectual Property Law.

This court ruling dismisses the appeal filed by CEDRO (the Spanish Reproduction Rights Centre) and confirms the validity of Hallon’s court deposit.

Hallon reaffirms its commitment to transparency, innovation, and respect for the rights of authors and publishers. The decision to refrain from entering into the new agreement proposed by CEDRO in 2024 stems from the desire to protect our clients’ interests and to ensure that any future agreement is based on balanced, sustainable conditions aligned with today’s technological realities.

We will continue to collaborate with all stakeholders to strengthen a responsible and fair  information ecosystem that remains compliant with applicable laws and respects the rights of press publishers.
